General Terms and Conditions
-The customer agrees to civilized and mature correspondence at all times.
-The customer agrees to contacting Chick and Egg NZ and allowing up to 5 working days for a response if something goes wrong before publicly posting about it.
Terms and Conditions of Purchasing Fertile Eggs
-The customer understands that purchasing fertile eggs brings no guarantee of live chicks.
-The customer understands that when eggs are posted a higher risk of issues will occur.
-The customer understands that Chick and Egg NZ is not liable for any issues regarding the development, handling or hatching of fertile eggs.
-The customer understands that there will be a 50/50 ratio of male to females.
-The customer understands that Chick and Egg NZ is not responsible for any defects present.
-The customer agrees to the return and refund policy that applies to Fertile Eggs.
Please note that a large range of things can affect the viability, development and hatch rate of eggs especially if shipped. Please read the return and refund policy in regards to fertile eggs.
Terms and Conditions of Purchasing Day Old Chicks
-The customer understands that there will be a 50/50 ratio of male to females.
-The customer understands the care requirements for chicks and that we are not liable if inadequate care has been taken.
-The customer agrees to the return and refund policy for day old chicks.
Terms and Conditions of Purchasing Adult Birds
-The customer agrees to the return and refund policy for live birds.
Terms and Conditions for Rooster Returns
-The customer has fully read and agrees to the rooster return process and requirements.
-The customer understands the usage of the rooster once in our care.
Please read all information under the rooster return page prior to contacting us.
As of the 1/1/2024 there are now major changes to the Return and Refund Policy. This restricts the amount of cases were we will offer a refund. Please read the below policy and agree to the requirements. Please allow up to 10 working days for refunds to be given.
Returns
All live birds may be returned as long as they are in a good health without any health issues. Please see the rooster return requirements as these apply to the general return policy, except the requirement of the bird being a male.
Refunds
Refunds, partial refunds, in-store vouchers and replacements are offered under the below circumstances.
Full Refund- Fertile Eggs were all infertile (confirmed by Chick and Egg NZ internal and external testing) and live birds passing within 7or less days of new ownership (health and wellbeing checks on customers facilities may be required). All fertile eggs or chicks turn out to be crossbreeds or incorrect breed.
Partial Refund- Certain breeds eggs are infertile, crossbreed or are the incorrect breed. Refund of the affected stock will be given only.
Replacements- Replacement eggs or chicks may be offered if something happens out of our control e.g. eggs damaged in post. This may be revoked if aggressive communication is made.
In-store Vouchers- May be offered instead of refund or replacement at a greater monetary amount.
No Refund, Replacement or Voucher Given- Anything that happens out of our control (so anything that is not stated under full refund or partial refund).
